چکیده

This study evaluates whether women with PCOS have a different body composition than non-PCOS (controls), estimated by anthropometric methods, and condition could be predictors of insulin resistance (IR) lipid profile (LP) in an independent manner. A case-control was conducted which (126) were diagnosed the Rotterdam criteria controls (159) without attending gynecological clinic for routine examinations. Women had higher mass index, percentage fat mass, testosterone controls. predicted levels triglycerides, LDL-c, lower HDL-c independently condition. HOMA-IR related to more significant patients PCOS. bone associated total cholesterol LDL-c Lower remained regardless mass. Lean percentages better metabolic (lower triglycerides HDL-c), also modulated Our results highlight importance as anthropometrical characteristic PCOS, relationship worse profile. In addition, composition.
